AHA Precourse Self AssessmentThis is a
free course available at:
elearning.heart.org/course/423You must achieve a score of
87% or higher to be accepted.
Note: You may complete this assessment first, but we recommend following the order listed above.
Next Steps:
Once you have completed all the courses, please fill out the attached AHA Application and Contract Agreement. Be sure to attach all the certificates showing you have completed each course.
Class Date:
Class dates will be scheduled once you have completed all the online courses.

The total cost of the instructor course is $550.00.

Supplies Needed for Teaching:
To teach the ACLS course, you will need the following supplies:
- Airway Manikin Head
- Arm, NPA, OPA
- Fake Medications
- Blood Pressure Cuff
- Pulse Oximeter
- EKG Leads (Black, Red, and White)
- D.A.R.T System for laptop or tablet
- Endotracheal Tube and Intubation Tools
- BLS Manikin with Feedback Device
Cost of Supplies:
Shell CPR offers a full ACLS equipment setup for approximately $850.00. If you're interested, please contact Nathan Shell directly for assistance.
What Happens After My Class?
After completing your class, you will need to set up a renewal or full ACLS course. We will monitor you during this session to ensure you are prepared to teach the course independently. Upon successful completion of the monitoring, you will receive your instructor certification via email. Please note, you have 6 months from the class date to complete the monitoring.
Do I Need to Purchase Videos?
Yes, the course videos can be purchased through Worldpoint. You can contact them at 847-465-3200. Mention that you are with Shell CPR to receive a discount on materials and online courses.
